Cware InstructionsStory

Italian maiolica is foodsafe serveware but may not be used for cooking. It may be washed in a dishwasher; we recommend using an energy-saver or low-heat dry cycle to avoid drastic changes in temperature. When storing mugs in a cupboard against an outside wall, we recommend you swish warm tap water in them before pouring boiling water directly into the cup; or put a spoon in the cup to absorb the heat. Crazing of the outer glaze sometimes occurs over time; this does not affect the foodsafe quality of the maiolica.

Intrecciate Fish Platter is perfect for fish because of its long oval size. But it serves up almost anything with aplomb. "Intrecciate" means "braided" or "interwined" in Italian, and that's exactly what this delicate geometric design does: it intertwines fine lines in blues and yellows across a pristine white background. Add a monogram and you have an heirloom piece. Each one is handpainted by Italian masters. Contact us for monogramming. Food- and dishwasher safe (low-heat or energy-saver dry cycle works best). Made in Italy.
