Cware InstructionsStory

Italian maiolica is foodsafe serveware but may not be used for cooking. It may be washed in a dishwasher; we recommend using an energy-saver or low-heat dry cycle to avoid drastic changes in temperature. When storing mugs in a cupboard against an outside wall, we recommend you swish warm tap water in them before pouring boiling water directly into the cup; or put a spoon in the cup to absorb the heat. Crazing of the outer glaze sometimes occurs over time; this does not affect the foodsafe quality of the maiolica.

The Antico Deruta pattern displays a centuries-old classic stylized wheat-shaft pattern in sunny yellow and bold cobalt blue against a briliant white background.
