French Culinary Porcelain: Caterina Ltd. carries beautiful French Culinary Porcelain, Pillivuyt ("Pilly-veet.") Pillivuyt is produced in the Berry Region of central France. The classic shapes and pure white glaze of Pillivuyt complements any dinnerware. Fired at 2500°F, Pillivuyt pieces are versatile and durable for everyday use, going from freezer to oven (or broiler or microwave) to table to dishwasher. German and Polish Pottery: Caterina Ltd. imports German pottery and carries Polish made pottery. Both countries produce beautiful, functional and elegant pottery and Caterina Ltd. carries an array of traditional and modern styles. Polish and German Pottery trace their origins from Bunzlauer style pottery of 12th century Poland. The town of Bunzlau was and still is rich with clay used for the pottery and the glaze. The pottery has evolved from a characteristic simple hazelnut color to more ornate patterns of rich blues, greens and flowers. The German and Polish pottery eventually split and became distinctive in their styles. Both the German and Polish pottery is oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.
