Rubans Croises Silver Placesetting

Item SKU# F10-10-RCS002
France

Rubans Croises silver placesetting shows a pattern of crossed ribbons that cross on the back of the fork. In silverplate on a nickel silver body. Chambly makes quite possibly the best silverplate on the market today. The company has been hadncrafting superior silverplate flatware in France since 1894. The silver content on each piece (42 microns of pure silver, equating to 100 grams of silver per set) is guaranteed by French law and evidence by the square stamp imprinted on each piece. this contrasts with the 3-5 microns commonly found on much silverplating from Asia and the U.S. Chambly uses high grade nickel silver--an alloy of nickel and copper--for the base of it s silverplate. Soetimes called"white metal because of the 12% nickel content that makes it appear white, this metal is safe if de-plated, has an affinity for silver bonding, and has the weight, feel and consistency of real sterling. This Rubans Croises placesetting consists of five pieces: table knife, table fork, salad/dessert fork, soup/dessert spoon and coffee spoon. It may be combined with the stainless pieces in the Rubans Croises pattern.
