25 generations of the Grazia family stand behind each piece of magnificent Grazia ceramic. Passed down from father to son in Deruta without interruption since the 12th century, the work of the Grazia family dates from 1500. The kilns Grazia used from the company's founding in 1500 until the end of the 1800's can still be seen at the Grazia factory, where there is also a private collection of original Deruta maiolica pieces, some of which go back tothe 13th century. Umbria's long-standing tradiiton of fine art is reflected in every Grazia product. Each piece is made of clay dug from the Umbrian hillside, tempered and processed until it forms the sturdy base for the painter's skilled hand. Twice fired and processed by hand to create an heirloom, each Grazia piece is its own treasure.
