A 17th century design originating in Montelupo, outside of Florence, Italy, Foglie Frutta ("leaves and fruits") features soft green and yellow leaves and vibrant fruits against an opaque white background. Deruta ceramicists began reproducing this design in the 19th century and Ubaldo Grazia (1887-1961) offered alternate fruit and color choices in the 20th century. These beautiful salad plates are a great complement to the Foglie Frutta Dinnerplates and create a lovely placesetting. Foodsafe. Handmade in Deruta, Italy.
